Help me celebrate my birthday by donating to the NationHouse Programs, an independent Afrikan-Centered school educating black children of Afrikan-descent for 47 years! This concert is produced by Creative Alliance with support from the Greater Baltimore Urban League (GBUL) whose mission is to enable African Americans and other minorities to secure economic self-reliance, parity, power and civil rights. Creative Alliance has also partnered with the wonderful Flushing Town Hall in Queens, NY to present this live virtual concert!
Proceeds from ticket sales support the artist and Creative Alliance.
Songs of freedom, love and inspiration of the genius women who have shaped music, including Nina Simone, Miriam Makeba, Roberta Flack, Abbey Lincoln, Alice Coltrane along with her own originals. Akua Allrich is vocalist beyond measure. A musical treasure with a massive stage personality and vocal style that is fluid and ever evolving, her musical roots run deep into blues, soul, and rhythm and blues, with a clear grounding in jazz and pan-African music. Along with her group, The Tribe, she has received accolades for her annual events honoring the defining female voices of Black music. This performance will be live streamed in incredible high definition with a four camera system.
